Overview

As part of DSCO's real estate practice, DSCO has assisted clients with a variety of real properties, including residential properties (strata and non-strata), agricultural land and commercial properties.

The type of transactions include acquisitions / disposals, leases / tenancies and miscellaneous other matters (e.g. caveats and charges).

The assistance typically rendered includes drafting, negotiation, advisory and regulatory submissions.

Some of the transactions which DSCO has acted or is acting in are:

2025: Acted for a Malaysian international school operator in respect of its disposal of a RM5.28 million strata property to a foreign national.

2023: Acting for a Malaysian listed company in respect of its acquisition of 600 hectares of agricultural land for a total consideration of approximately RM77 million.

2023: Acted for a state government linked company in respect of its disposal of industrial land for a total consideration of RM26.6 million.

2023: Acted for a Malaysian sports entertainment start-up in respect of its rental of strata premises measuring 12,000 square feet in aggregate.

2022: Acted for the buyer of a Tudor style bungalow in Cameron Highlands at a purchase consideration of RM12.5 million.

2022: Acted for a state government linked company in respect of its disposal of a 10,000 square feet bungalow in Port Dickson.

2021: Assisted a Malaysian listed company on its 99 year surrender and lease-back arrangement of 9,000 acres of agricultural land with a state government linked foundation.

2021: Advised a Malaysian listed company on its proposed acquisition of a parcel of agricultural land for an indicative purchase price of approximately RM100 million.

2019: Instructed by a Japanese law firm to advise a Japanese chemicals and speciality materials company on its proposed acquisition of 158 acres of industrial land in Malaysia for an indicative consideration of approximately RM320 million.

2018: Acted for a property developer in respect of its proposed disposal of a 900,000 square feet parcel of land to another Malaysian property developer for a consideration of RM14 million.
